  • Over rated. Of course I used to think Goldeneye was the end all until I found the world of overpriced PCs.

    Why not just let you use mouse/keyboard. UT3 on PS3 is supposed to allow it...

    Actually, Halo just isn't that good. If you check out the reviews of 1 and 2 once they hit windows, they're awful. Hopefully you've already picked up Bio-Shock and you're going to the Orange Box.

    You like Unreal. I like Halo.
    You like Celine Dion. I like Velvet Revolver.

    And Halo is the best looking console game I have ever seen.

  • I've seen videos of both, and Bio-Shock looks better. Halo doesn't even run 720p.

    I don't like Unreal much. I like the team based multiplayer games. Especially objective based. Which is why I'm getting the Orange Box with TF2. I just know the PS3 version of UT will allow mouse/keyboard.

    And its not like Halo is bad. Its like when we were kids and thought Holiday World was great. Then we went to King's Island and it blew Holiday World out of the water.

  • Some of the most fun I ever had with video games was playing Perfect Dark in Myrtle Beach back in June 2000. Do you remember that Torok?

  • Yes, as stated above, that was before I found the world of Overpriced PCs. I know you found it too, it just came in the form of a mac, and you probably don't game on it much.

    I guess I didn't state this above, but I like mouse/keyboard better because it creates faster action. I've played Halo, and I thought it was slow. I've gone back to play Goldeneye, and I thought it was slow.

    Now what I want to check out is an FPS on the wii.

  • I don't game on my Mac much. They're not really known for their gaming capabilities. It's all the better for me. I'd love to game more... but I just don't have time at this season in my life.

    My gaming now only consists of the occasional Sudoku. I did play N64 a little this summer. I beat the first two Tony Hawk games. And then got bored.

  • Did I anywhere ever say Halo, and when I refer to Halo I am refering to Halo3(runs at 720p and 1080i), was the best game ever? Answer is no, I didn't. I do love playing the game, though, not online, the campaign. Online play does not interest me.

    The game to me is fun enough to just to go through the missions. Replayability is what I am talking about.

  • Halo 3 is upscaled from 640p.

    Have you played Bio-Shock? Did you want to borrow any of those games? I will be seeing ya at the family reunion in a week i hope.

  • I picked up the Orange Box this weekend for a whopping $40 with tax. Excellent game. I think my 5 hrs of play may have scratched the surface, but I only played 2 of the 7 included games.
